Off to the races...

Forgive the horse racing pun the day after the Kentucky Derby, but we felt it appropriate since the Miami-Dade School District is now saving money every second of the day with their newly installed LED lights from buddy buying.

Bobby, Rick and the boys spent this last week in bucket trucks installing 100w corn lamps into parking lot shoe box fixtures and on ladders retrofitting outdoor lighting with buddy buying’s 12w, 4 pin, swivel base PL lamps that are perfectly ballast compatible. Plug it in and walk away is what the team has done, all the while knowing that they will not have to come back to that light for roughly 12 years. Oh, did we mention the school is saving 50% on their energy cost to run that light. That sounds like a win-win-win...Or we could stick with the horse racing lingo and say a trifecta.

The hard-working maintenance staff at the school district got a clean and fast start out of the gates

and are taking the first turn at full speed as installations will continue next week.

The smart money is riding on the great decision so many schools are making to use buddy buying to retrofit their schools with money saving, long life, LED lighting.
