Just imagine getting all your LED lights for free and saving $10,000 a year from the reduced power consumption. That is exactly what happened for the Bowie Baysox. (Baltimore Orioles Double A Affiliate.)
Free LED lights were made possible because of rebates offered by Baltimore Gas & Electric (BG&E). Buddy buying started working with the Baysox in November counting lights and examining rebates that are available to the club. Buddy buying determined that the rebates being offered by BG&E were substantial enough that buddy buying could provide all lighting to the Baysox for absolutely free.
The facilities staff at the Baysox will be self-installing with the help of buddy buying. Jeremy and Will are spending some long days in the cold weather and we could not be happier to help. Stephen King, Facilities and Grounds Manager for the Baysox, spearheaded this ambitious project that will help the club keep money in their pocket while eliminating all lighting related maintenance. That is what we call a “win-win.”
Over 500 fixtures will be changed out including wall packs, 2x4 panels, 2x2 panels, shoe boxes, canopy lights and screw in lights. There is a lot of work to do, and we are looking forward to helping Stephen and his staff with every bit of that work.
In addition to tremendous savings and no maintenance, buddy buying LED’s have a 50,000 hour lifetime which means these lights will burn brightly for about 12 years.
If something were to happen to a buddy buying product, our friendly warranty team will immediately replace the defective light. Most buddy buying products come with a standard 5-year warranty while an increasing number of buddy buying LED’s carry a warranty of 8 years. That is how confident we are in our products!
