For the second time in 2018, buddy buying is giving away lights and saving the customer a tremendous amount of money through reduced energy consumption. All without a penny coming out of the pocket of the customer.

Free LED lights were made possible because of rebates offered by Baltimore Gas & Electric (BG&E). Buddy buying started working with the Aberdeen Ironbirds after completing the FREE retrofit of the Bowie Baysox in February. Both Aberdeen and Bowie are minor league affiliates to the Baltimore Orioles. When Aberdeen heard that their partners in Bowie were getting their LED’s for free, it only made sense to retrofit their exterior, power wasting, aging and bulky lights with new, sleek, energy sipping LED fixtures for absolutely no cost.

A total of 62 fixtures will be changed out including shoeboxes and flood lights.

In addition to tremendous savings and no maintenance, buddy buying LED’s have a 50,000 hour lifetime which means these lights will burn brightly for about 12 years.

If something were to happen to a buddy buying product, our friendly warranty team will immediately replace the defective light. Most buddy buying products come with a standard 5-year warranty while an increasing number of buddy buying LED’s carry a warranty of 8 years. That is how confident we are in our products!
