How do you succeed?

We are all here to be successful, so let's see how that is done.

What we do:

What buddy buying does is provide LED lights to commercial customers and utilize local utility rebates to often times completely pay for the customers lights. The customer comes out of pocket for sales tax and shipping in a lot of cases. This is our competitive advantage. We give it away for free. Or practically free.


As a bonus, the customer saves anywhere between 40%-90% on the lighting portion of their utility bill. The savings is often times tens of thousands of dollars per year.


Who are our customers?

This is super important. We have two different customers we are looking to target. Electricians and end customers.


Electricians are by far the best customer. We provide a significant value to their company because we provide the lights, handle all the paperwork and provide a dedicated sales person with extensive LED knowledge. That is a lot.


Now instead of spending time doing a lot of paperwork, the electrician can schedule more installations over the course of the week. They make more money. Electricians already have the relationship with the customer so the customer often takes the advice of the electrician and easily moves forward with the deal. We get to access their book of business without having to spend a lot of time getting the customer to trust us.


End customers are also an opportunity. This will be roughly the same amount of time as an electrician lead. Businesses in your area are good customers because they probably qualify for a significant rebate. Customers who have long work days or are on 24/7 are the best target customers as their savings would be incredible substantial.


However, all businesses are our potential customers regardless of light operating times. This is an incredible deal and the business owner will know that when you explain it.


What is your goal?

All you are trying to do is setup an appointment to speak with our sales team. We will handle it from there as there will probably be some technical questions. At this point, you will be able to see all the progress of the job as it heads down the sales funnel.


What is our close rate?

High, very high. I would say 8 out of 10 customers complete the deal immediately. 9 out of 10 customers complete the deal within two months. From time to time, we do not close one. We are very good at the sales process because we are giving the business an asset in the form of utility savings and we are providing a high quality product at no cost to them.


How do you get paid?

You make a percentage of the rebate received. The incentive structure is very good and emailed to you when you joined the team.


What training material is available?

We are compiling more and more information on the Partner Portal. We will be posting informative blog posts weekly. If we see a lot of the same questions, we will take a deep dive in a blog post.


Additionally, the community forum is a great place to ask a question, interact with other partners to compare notes and act as a great resource from other partners in your position.


An FAQ page will provide details to the most popular questions. This page will continue to grow as we get more feedback from Partners.


Direct Message through the Partner Portal will allow for direct text messaging with a member of the company to get you answers you need quickly.
